Top pick: #5 (CORINTHIAN SUMMER) (3-1) - Colt was beaten a length racing at this tag and trip at Gulfstream on April 12th. It was his first start in 10 1/2 months and he had some serious traffic issues in that solid return effort. He's worked four times since, including a trio at Saratoga and is the horse to beat.
2nd pick: #3 (Romans Paradise) (5-2) - Lightly-raced gelding has early speed and has finished third in both starts in 2014 facing tougher. Three-year-old by "Hard Spun" was away for almost five months and trainer George Weaver adds both blinkers and John Velazquez. A very strong win candidate.
3rd pick: #7 (Inventor's Gate) (8-1) - Home-bred raced both wide and evenly at Gulfstream on March 30th in his first since debuting last August at Saratoga. Working fast since, trainer Mark Hennig drops him to a new low and colt can impact at a big price.
4th pick: #4 (Aheadofthecurve) (8-1) - He drops back into a claimer after showing little facing special weights at Gulfstream April 12th. Colt was sharp in his previous pair when "tagged" and has good early speed to utilize.
