She's improved noticeably since coming off a 3-month vacation in early Feb. and has been working fast locally since shipping north. The horse to beat.
2nd pick: #7 (Bebop Raindrop) (6-1) - Price play has been on the sidelines since Sept. 18th when she ran evenly here at this level going a mile on the turf. Daughter of 'Scat Daddy' had run second when debuting at this trip Aug. 15th at Saratoga. Working well, has blinkers added, and filly has more natural speed than 'Summersault.' A strong win candidate.
3rd pick: #2 (Magical Miss) (8-1) - Longshot has early speed and is stretching out in distance and trying the turf, both for the first time. She tired last out as the 6-5 favorite sprinting on the local dirt and is bred to love grass racing.
4th pick: #10 (Stevie the Cat) (12-1) - She's one of four making their debuts and has some good works showing. From a capable barn (Tom Morley), and it's noted that Saez takes the mount.
5th pick: #3 (Spalsh of Sass) (10-1) - Her trainer, the popular retired jockey Robbie Davis has won a race here each of the past two days. This daughter of 'Langfuhr' is bred to enjoy the turf and is working sharply for her first since March 22.
