2nd pick: #3 (Fiona's Hero) (9-2) - Speedy sort is another shortening up after a half-dozen starts going a mile or longer. The Contessa barn drops him to a new low and this 5-year-old is a threat with his best.
3rd pick: #4 (Wild Finish) (10-1) - State bred was a winner going 6-furlongs for a $20K tag facing fellow New York alumni March 15th. Stretch runner tired while wide in his follow up race April 23rd. He's dropping down and moving in with 'open' company.
4th pick: #6 (Candyman E) (10-1) - There was a time when this veteran would have beaten these by 20-lengths. However, that time has long since passed. A 10-time winner, his form has gone bad since he was claimed away from the Jacobson barn in late August at Saratoga. He hasn't hit the board in six starts since then, but has finished fourth in his last pair facing tougher. He's dropping to a new low today and should be competitive.
