Top pick: #5 (PERFECT TRIPPI) (6-1) - Gelding hasn't raced since missing by a 1/2 length on Feb. 22 at Gulfstream racing for a $25K tag. That was his first off a reclaim by Carlos Martin, and he has him working sharply for his return. Can take this at a square price.
2nd pick: #1 (Road Agent) (2-1) - He's part of an entry from leading trainer Dave Jacobson, and he has separate riders listed on both halves. Colt enters in fine form, and was beaten less than a length here at this level and distance on June 7. Win candidate.
3rd pick: #4 (Litigate) (9-5) - He's returned from a two month break a much better animal, and last out he chased a fast pace while wide and held to finish second here at this level and distance. He's worked fast since, and is in the win mix.
4th pick: #1a (Tizmas) (2-1) - The second part of the Jacobson entry finished third here going a mile on June 13 in his first off a claim. Barn cuts him back to a sprint, and gelding is capable at this trip.
