Top pick: #8 (WILD GRACE) (3-1) - Lightly raced, well-bred, and speedy, trainer Chad Brown has freshened her up since late in 2012 when she just missed in back-to-back starts racing on the Aqu dirt at this level and distance. Bred for the grass, daughter of "Forest Wildcat" is working nicely on the "deep" Saratoga training track for her return.
nd pick: #9 (Therapy) (6-1) - She missed by a head here at this level and trip on the grass on May 17, then also ran second in an "off the turf" contest just nine days ago. In shape, has a flexible style, and is a win candidate.
rd pick: #5 (Pie's First Lady) (7-2) - Speedy & lightly raced, she set a pressured pace and tired very late to finish third here at this level and distance on May 30. Race was her first since Sep. 20, and it's nice to see her come back on short notice.
th pick: #1 (Curlin N Twirlin) (6-1) - Filly comes off a career best when she finished third of 12, beaten just over three lengths racing here at this condition and trip May 26. Positive effort and daughter of "Curlin" has since come back with a pair of fine works.
th pick: #4 (Elizabeth's Flair) (20-1) - Longshot moves to the grass in her first off a Joe Orseno claim. She has a bit of speed, but is moving way up in class for this attempt. A small slice at a big price is her ceiling.
