Top pick: #4 (IT'S YOUR DIME) (3-1) - Mare has finished second here in both starts at this meet following her return from a nine-month layoff in early May. Speed/stalker is at the right price and distance and is the horse to beat, but make sure you reverse your exactas!
2nd pick: #6 (Benny's Bullet) (6-1) - Very fast from the gate, she's racing third back off almost a seven-month layoff and she showed an improved run last out. Fla.-bred draws a much better post this afternoon and is a factor at a square price.
3rd pick: #1 (Tordita) (6-1) - She was claimed out of her first three starts and last out finished a distant second here at this level and distance in an off the turf contest on May 23rd. Nice effort, she has the rail, and is bred for the grass.
4th pick: #2 (Prove It All Night) (10-1) - Speedy filly hasn't run since late Sept. when she set a fast pace and tired badly here facing special weights. Drops, is working steadily, but she gives away a recency edge to the top three picks.
5th pick: #11 (Stormkeeper) (7-2) - Filly by "Stormy Atlantic" cost $100K as a yearling and rallied to finish second as the 3-5 favorite when debuting in a 5-furlong grass sprint at Pimlico May 11. In a top barn (Graham Motion) and 4-year-old will drop a bit in class. Can be a factor, but she needs to avoid a wide trip from this marooned post.
