Top pick: #2 (IMAGE OF NOON) (3-1) - Grey home-bred by "Disco Rico" closed strongly after a "stumbling" start and just missed racing here at this level and distance on June 1. It was her first start since Dec. 4th, and she's done her best work sprinting on this course (4-1-2-0). Can take this with a "clean" trip.
2nd pick: #1a (White Crane) - Filly exits the same June 1 contest as "Image of Noon," and she held gamely to finish fourth after being involved in a pace-duel. Only 1 1/2 lengths back of that rival on the wire, trainer Linda Rice adds blinkers and this 4yo should be in this every step.
3rd pick: #4 (Fantastic Eyes) (9-2) - Strong finisher hasn't run since late Oct. when she rallied to finish third here facing weaker at this distance. Filly is stakes placed, is working steadily, and would benefit if the pace was fast and/or contested. A late threat if ready.
4th pick: #7 (Summerdale) (6-1) - Very lightly raced daughter of "More Than Ready" broke her maiden on this course when debuting on Sept. 11th going seven-furlongs. She did not run well in a trio of follow up starts, but did continue to show sharp early speed in each outing. Working well, longshot runs off a 5 1/2 month layoff and could grab a share if ready.
