Barn stretches him out in distance and has him making back-to-back starts for the first time.
2nd pick: #5 (Ice Cutter) (5-2) - Grey colt rallied from far back to miss by a 'neck' racing here at this level and distance May 3. It was his best to date and came off almost a 5-month break. Working fast since, 4yo is one of a pair entered by trainer Chris Clement, and the two race as separate betting interests.
3rd pick: #3 (Arbirtrator) (3-1) - The second of the Clement pair, colt has been competitive in all four starts. He checked in third here at this level and distance May 24, but disappointed that day as a heavy favorite. He has a flexible style and should factor.
4th pick: #4 (Captain Tim) (8-1) - Home bred ships in from Santa Anita where he finished an even fourth of eight, beaten 2 1/2 going 6.5-furlongs when debuting April 5. He's working nicely here, and trainer John Shirreffs will stretch him out in distance. May grab a share, but this field drew very tough.
