Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #3 (AINTITFUNKYNOW) (2-1) - He was competitive in both grass starts at this level and distance last Fall. Sharp in one of two on the dirt earlier this year, he moves back to the grass, is working steadily for his first since Feb. 22, and Irad Ortiz, Jr. is aboard for the first time. When teamed up with trainer Mike Maker, the pair have won 31 of 113 (27%) in 2019-20.
2nd pick: #7 (Danfusi) (3-1) - A lightly raced 4yo, he finished a pace-setting 2nd when debuting here at this level and distance on the grass a year ago. In his follow up July 12 at Saratoga, he tired late in an 'off the turf' contest and hasn't run since. Training steadily for his return, Joel Rosario stays aboard, and this colt is dangerous if ready.
3rd pick: #11 (Barleewon) (8-1) - A son of 'Animal Kingdom,' he tired when facing 'open' company going a mile at the Fair Grounds March 21. The colt had finished 5th of 10, missing by three lengths at this level and distance Aug. 16 at Saratoga and has been training very fast at Fair Hill for this attempt. 3yo is in the win mix.
4th pick: #5 (Stash My Money) (10-1) - This longshot has been competitive in three straight at this level on the dirt. One run type is a late threat if he can transfer his main track form to the turf.
