Trainer Jeremiah Englehart drops her into a claimer, adds blinkers, and has her making back-to-back starts for the first time. I give her a slight edge.
2nd pick: #2 (Central Exit) (6-1) - She's had trouble at the break in two of her last three and missed by only a length at this level when away cleanly. Freshened up since Feb. 21, 3yo runs off a rare claim by John Terranova II, and he has her working sharply locally.
3rd pick: #4 (Love Me Tomorrow) (9-2) - The main speed, she finished a pace-setting 2nd here at this level going six furlongs on the grass June 25. Competitive in five of six overall, 3yo by 'Mineshaft' should be involved from gate-to-wire.
4th pick: #7 (Belleza) (3-1) - A homebred by 'Tiznow,' she's been on the sidelines since finishing 2nd when going a mile Nov. 20 at Aqueduct in a contest that was taken 'off the turf.' Training steadily for Linda Rice, eight of 40 (20%) following long layoffs, she drops this 4yo into a claimer, and Irad Ortiz, Jr. is back on the re-ride.
