Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #3 (RED STORM RISEN) (7-2) - This lightly raced homebred had a very wide trip when finishing 4th of 12, missing by just under four lengths here going a mile at this level June 6. Only his second start, it was his first since debuting in a Woodbine sprint Aug. 3. He draws a better post here, stretches out a furlong, and is making back-to-back starts for the first time. I give him a slight edge.
2nd pick: #1 (Mr Jaggers) (8-5) - The morning line and probable favorite, he ran 3rd last out and was a bit over two lengths in front of 'Red Storm Risen' at the finish. Colt earned a career-best figure then, has a ground-saving post today, and I could have easily made him the top selection.
3rd pick: #4 (Malibu Edge) (9-2) - A homebred son of 'Malibu Moon,' he's been freshened up since rallying to finish 3rd of 12, beaten by just under three lengths when going 8.5 furlongs at this level March 27 at Gulfstream Park. A career-best, it was his first-ever on the grass, and he's bred to enjoy today's nine-furlong trip.
4th pick: #6 (Bay Street Money) (8-1) - Colt had a very wide trip when beaten just over five lengths debuting in the same June 6 contest as both 'Red Storm Risen' and 'Mr Jaggers.' It would only take a small step forward for him to be dangerous.
