Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #3 (QUEZON) (2-1) - Hard hitting mare enters off a close up third place finish here when facing 'open' company in the Gallant Bloom Stakes (G2) Sept. 24. Not as fast out of the gate as today's rival 'Pico Uno,' but she has enough speed to stay close and run that one down late.
2nd pick: #1 (Pico Uno) (9-5) - The main speed, her task was made easier by the scratch of #2 'Royal Inheritance.' She's in shape, has the rail, is from a high-percentage barn (Jay Servis) and grey filly is 3-for-4 at this distance. An obvious win candidate and I could have made her the top choice.
3rd pick: #6 (Cozzy Spring) (5-1) - Lightly-raced and improving, she's the fields only 3-year-old. A winner of her last four when on the dirt, she's another who is 3-for-4 at this 6.5 furlong trip. Her outside post is a plus and she may factor at a square price.
