Top pick: #8 (SUN WORSHIPER) (5-2) - Gelding had a wide trip here at this level going 8.5 furlongs on Sept. 8 and will be cutting back in distance for this attempt. In shape, speed/stalker draws a good post and is the horse to beat.
2nd pick: #1 (Irish Jade) (2-1) - He's racing himself back into shape following his return from a pair of layoffs in late July. One-run type cuts back in distance, has the rail, and has his blinkers removed after a one-race experiment. Stretch threat.
3rd pick: #9 (Seljuk) (5-1) - He ran well in a pair at Saratoga going shorter and this 5-year-old was beaten less than a length there at this level going 5.5 furlongs on Aug. 16. In his only previous try at this distance, he finished second here on July 7th. In the mix.
4th pick: #2 (Sayaprayerforme) (15-1) - Speedy sort should guarantee a fast pace and he could be dangerous if both "Worshiper" and "Seljuk" don't go after him early on.
