She rallied to finish third when debuting at Saratoga Aug 26, a contest where she broke a bit slowly and had a very wide trip. She's worked since and Pletcher wins at a 23% rate second time out.
2nd pick: #12 (Orzo) (4-1) - Zayat home bred rallied to finish second in her debut and was a 'head' in front of 'Brinkley.' She hit the gate at the break and had some traffic issues at the 1/4 pole. An obvious contender.
3rd pick: #1 (She's Worth It) (12-1) - $250K purchase tired when debuting on a 'sloppy' surface in an 'off the turf' contest at Saratoga July 30. Bred for the grass, filly had a very sharp half-mile work here Sep 13. Has the rail and can factor at a big price.
4th pick: #11 (Summer Reading) (6-1) - Daughter of 'Hard Spun' has been in steady training since mid-June. Most of the works are above average and she's from an underrated barn (Jimmy Jerkens). A threat if ready.
5th pick: #2 (Singmeasongbella) (10-1) - The second of the Pletcher pair, she's a debuting daughter of 'Rock Hard Ten.' Working both steadily and about average, she'll sneak away at a big price for a 23% first out barn.
