Top pick: #1 (Entry of 1-GIRLABOUTTOWN & 1a-STAR GRAZING) (5-2) - Talented entry of a pair of Broman home breds, "Girlabouttown" is trying this mile trip for the first time after going 3-2-1-0 so far when going shorter. "Star Grazing" has won three in a row since coming off a 7 1/2 month layoff in early July. Both have a flexible style and look to have bright futures.
2nd pick: #5 (Sunny Desert) (2-2) - Hard-hitting mare has only made two starts since April of 2013, but showed some of her old talent last out at Saratoga. Five-year-old is undefeated (3 for 3) at this distance and is two for three at Belmont. Very dangerous with her best.
3rd pick: #4 (Carameaway) (3-1) - Speed/stalker won a two-turn $100K stakes at the "Spa" on Aug. 14 in her first start since May 31st. Working well since and this filly by "Lawyer Ron" must be left in the mix.
4th pick: #6 (Get Gorgeous) (8-1) - Mare is in career best form at present but that still leaves her well behind the other selections as to figures. A small slice appears to be her ceiling.
