Top pick: #5 (REMARKABLE) (3-1) - Home bred set a quick and pressured pace when debuting in the Saratoga mud on Aug. 22. That set her up for her entry-mate to rally and win thit contest going away. Daughter of "Indian Charlie" is on her own today, and she has a solid shot to upset the heavy favorite, #3 "Brilliant Jewel."
2nd pick: #3 (Brilliant Jewel) (9-5) - The probable heavy favorite, beautifully bred filly has gone 3-0-2-1 when racing at 7-furlongs or less, and all of those have been local. Daughter of "A.P.Indy" comes off a pace-chasing second place finish at Saratoga on Aug. 2, and is a strong win candidate.
3rd pick: #4 (Savvy Sassy) (4-1) - One of two debuting fillies, both are trained by Chris Clement, and they race as separate betting interests. Daughter of "Street Sense" had a sharp 5-furlong breeze here on Aug. 25 and looks set for a competitive effort first out.
4th pick: #6 (Trautman) (8-1) - Price play raced evenly after a poor start when racing at the "Spa" in the same last race as "Remarkable." It was her first race in 11 months, she's worked well since, and trainer Gary Contessa adds blinkers.
