Top pick: #6 (INSIGHTING) (5-2) - Thought he received a bit of a poor ride last out and trainer Steve Asmussen makes a change this afternoon. Colt rallied to finish fourth here that day going 6-furlongs after being "wrangled down" in the first half-mile. He's worked since and the additional furlong he travels today is in his favor.
2nd pick: #10 (Arctic Missile) (6-1) - Improving gelding cuts back in distance after pressing the pace while widest and tiring late at Monmouth on Oct. 6 when facing $20K "open" company maidens. Back with state-breds and his trainer Mark Hennig (whose having a career year) has him nicely spotted.
3rd pick: #12 (Seljuk) (5-1) - One-run type draws a fine outside post and has donee his best work at this distance 2-0-1-1. Drops and must be left in the mix.
4th pick: #2 (Katmansu) (3-1) - Speedy home-bred set a pressured pace before weakening here facing tougher, going farther on Oct. 12. He was racing off a 3 1/2 month layoff and will shorten up in distance and drops into a claimer.
5th pick: #1 (Acigarisjustacigar) (8-1) - Colt has had very difficult outside posts in his last pair and will be moving to the railo and dropping into a claimer for the first time. Can factor at a square price.
