Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #3 (FABULOUS KID) (3-1) - Speedy/stalker is one of two entered in this contest by trainer Dave Jacobson and the pair race uncoupled. Hard hitter has a solid record in dirt sprints and ships in from Penn National where he was a sharp winner going six-furlongs Sept 24. Race was his first for Jacobson and he's the choice to take another.
2nd pick: #2 (Rainbow Heir) (4-1) - Lightly-raced Jersey bred has won seven of 15 starts on the dirt and has banked $342K for trainer Ben Perkins Jr. Stretch runner is nicely spotted and is a threat if he brings his Monmouth form with him.
3rd pick: #1 (Erik the Red) (7-2) - He enters off a win here at this distance Sept 24 facing a bit weaker. It was his first back off a seven week freshening and earned him a career best figure. He's worked fast since and trainer Linda Rice is having a very strong meet (15 for 50).
4th pick: #5 (Big Business) (3-1) - The second of the Jacobson pair, New York bred is a stakes winner many time over and is training nicely for his first since Feb 16. He loves it on the Belmont dirt 9-5-2-1 and this old timer has won almost $800,000 during his 35-start career. A major threat if ready.
