Top pick: #8 (FLASHY IN PINK) - Lightly raced filly was claimed on Aug. 1 at Saratoga by Dave Jacobson for $35K and was sent for a 50-day freshening by the new barn. She raced evenly after breaking poorly facing special weights Sept. 21 in her retrn and today is dropped down to run for $16,000. Trainer is having a strong meet and this 3-year-old is the horse to beat.
2nd pick: #5 (Classic Point) - Home-bred showed good early speed before tiring in the same Sept. 21 contest as "Pink". Race was her first off a seven week freshening and she'll take the same drops as the top pick. Dangerous.
3rd pick: #3 (Bluegrassislegal) - She's only made two starts and they've come almost 14 months apart. Well-bred filly drops in price, goes turf to dirt, makes back-to-back starts for the first time and does so with blinkers added. In the mix.
