Top pick: #8 (SIERRA OLIVIA) (2-1) - Home bred is one if two fillies entered by the Pletcher barn and the pair race uncoupled. Daughter of "Pulpit" has caught "off" going in both starts to date and last out finished a pace-chasing second here on Sept. 21 when racing at this level going 6.5-furlongs. She was much improved over her debut run that afternoon and filly is bred to love this mile distance.
2nd pick: #7 (Summer House) (6-1) - Trainer Bill Mott also has two fillies entered in this mile contest and this daughter of "Tiznow" tired badly in the same last race as "Olivia." It was her debut effort and she may have bled as Lasix is added for this attempt. Working fast for this and it's noted that she was well bet in her first outing.
3rd pick: #5 (Profess) (15-1) - The second of the Mott fillies, Claiborne home-bred has been freshened up since tiring in a grass race at this level and distance here on Sept. 7. Her two works heading into this suggest that she'll be competitive at a big price.
4th pick: #6 (Money'soncharlotte) (8-1) - Daughter of "Mizzen Mast" raced both wide and evenly when debuting on the Keeneland "poly" in a 6-furlong sprint Oct. 4. She's worked fast at Monmouth since and is moving to conventional dirt and stretching out in distance. May impact at a nice piece.
