Top pick: #2 (PITCHED) (7-2) - Well bred filly ships up from Parx where she rallied to break her maiden going 6-furlongs for a $25K tag Oct. 7. It was her first start since July 13th at Belmont when she was claimed by owner/trainer Gregg Matties for $20K. Nicely spotted today, and this daughter of "Elusive Quality" meets a weak field.

2nd pick: #6 (Kate Is a Ten) (2-1) - The probable favorite, filly drops in class after missing by a "head" here for a $25K tag Sept. 18. It was a career best overall, and stalker is an obvious win candidate at a short price.

3rd pick: #5 (Lemon and Honey) (9-2) - She exits the same last race as "Kate" and ran evenly following a very troubled break. Effort is best viewed as a "toss," and she must be left in the mix.

4th pick: #4 (Golden Cheetah) (4-1) - No speed type is stretching out in distance after showing little in a sprint here at this level Sept. 12. The type that can "run all day," mare would benefit greatly if the pace is fast and/or contested.
