Top pick: #3 (SLEEPING GIANT) (3-1) - Stalker raced close up and rallied to finish second here at this level and distance Sept. 13. Nice overall effort and he can take this competitive contest with a small step forward.
nd pick: #12 (Night Prowler) (2-1) - The probable favorite, he rallied up the rail to finish third when debuting on Sept. 13. He was almost a length back of "Sleeping Giant" that afternoon and runs for Chad Brown (28% second time out). An obvious win candidate with Castellano aboard.
rd pick: #11 (Magnum Opus) (6-1) - Colt by "More Than Ready" raced evenly in the same Sept. 12th contest as both "Giant" and "Prowler." He's worked twice since, draws a nice post, and trainer Tony Dutrow wins at a 28% clip second out.
th pick: #9 (On Tenterhooks) (12-1) - Longshot goes dirt to turf for a barn (Mark Hennig) that's having a great meet. Another son of "More Than Ready" he's shown speed in both starts and is bred to love the grass. Has a shot at a big price.
th pick: #7 (High Noon Rider) (10-1) - $400K son of "Distorted Humor" also raced evenly when debuting in the same Sept. 13 race common to many others. Trainer George Weaver has worked him three times since and this well bred colt no doubt has more talent than shown in his debut.
