Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #3 (UPHAM) (4-1) - Bred/owned/and trained by Bill Mott, colt showed little after a troubled break debuting here Sept. 21 going 8.5 furlongs on the grass facing tougher. Barn brings him back in eleven days, drops him into a claimer, switches him to the dirt, and shortens him up in distance. It's noted that Mott's main rider (Junior Alvarado), who was not aboard first out is today.
2nd pick: #1 (Big Royal Lineage) (8-5) - The main speed, he has the rail and is dropping in class. He's shown enough in his first pair, one each on dirt and turf facing tougher and is an obvious win candidate as the probable favorite.
3rd pick: #7 (Bongga) (5-1) - He raced evenly and a bit 'hard to handle' when debuting sprinting for a $50K tag Sept. 1 at Saratoga. A NEW gelding, he's worked twice for this attempt, drops in value, and is stretching out in distance.
