Bet down to favoritism that afternoon, she was running off a 4 1/2 month layoff, and trainer Phil Serpe has worked her twice since for this attempt. Draws a fine outside post and is the horse to beat.
2nd pick: #6 (Stock Fund) (5-2) - She's finished second in six of 10 turf starts and has done so in four of five on this surface. One run type is nearing her best in her third off an eight month layoff and is an obvious threat to the top pick.
3rd pick: #5 (What the Frost) (5-1) - She's been competitive in all three so far and trainer Tony Dutrow will move her to the grass for the first time. By an excpetional turf stallion "Frost Giant" and this 3yo is a win candidate.
4th pick: #3 (Funny Money) (4-1) - She raced both wide and evenly at this level and distance at Aqu on April 17, and was only two back of "Transplendid" at the finish. In the dangerous barn of Chad Brown and this 4yo will be a square price.
5th pick: #1 (Typhoon Teri) (15-1) - Longshpt is training fast for her first off a two month break and trainer Dom Galluscio moves her back to the grass and stretches her out in distance. Filly has some early speed and that makes her a bit interesting at a big price.
