Top pick: #4 (SCOTUS) (7-2) - Veteran is back in shape after coming off a 70 day break on Jan. 19 and has improved noticeably sine being claimed by Dave Jacobson for $35K on Feb. 21. 5-year-old moves up in class off an easy win on a sloppy track here on May 9th and he's been successful when facing better in the past. Take him for a bit of an upset.
2nd pick: #5 (Love to Run) (3-1) - Speedy and well-bred, he finished a pace-setting third here facing slightly weaker on May 5th in his first off a two month break. He's worked twice since, including a bullet half-mile breeze May 15th and gelding has run well on "off" tracks in the past.
3rd pick: #1 (Colizeo) (3-1) - By far the fields most accomplished runner, he has fine early speed, has won here in the past, and is (2-1-0-1) on wet tracks. Working fast and he'll be involved from start-to-finish, but will be a short price.
