Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #7 (LONG NIGHT) (3-1) - Lightly-raced colt has been freshened up since March 31. $125K purchase missed by a 'nose' at this tag and trip at Gulfstream last out in what was only his second start. He was working steadily at Churchill for Bill Mott before heading to Belmont. Gets a slight edge.
2nd pick: #6 (Our Cousin Dick) (7-2) - Disappointing 4-year-old by 'Giant's causeway' is dropping into a claimer for the first time. That said, he's back on the grass for the first time since Nov. 10 when he earned the highest figure any of these has reached so far. A repeat of that effort makes him very dangerous.
3rd pick: #5 (Hard to Have Fun) (4-1) - Debuting 3-year-old was in steady training all winter in Florida but trainer Chad Brown (20% first out) did not start him there. Three-year-old drilled a sharp half-mile here May 12 and he need not be anything special to factor against this field.
4th pick: #4 (Bootlegger) (6-1) - Lightly-raced colt rallied strongly to miss by a 'head' April 22 running for a $40K price tag. Claimed that afternoon by the Chatterpaul barn, he had a very wide trip here May 12 when moved up in class. Can impact today at a square price as he drops back down.
