2nd pick: #3 (Mr. Espresso) (6-1) - He finished second at Aqueduct at this level & distance April 11 and was claimed that afternoon by Gary Sciacca. He raced evenly while not involved in a turf race for twice this price April 25 in his first off the claim, and moves back to the dirt for this attempt.
3rd pick: #1 (Southbeachsandy) (8-1) - State-bred has finished close up in his last pair, and has finished second in five of seven local appearances. Old-timer is at his favorite distance (4-2-1-0) and is a threat from just off the pace.
4th pick: #5 (Sun Bear) (3-1) - Veteran tired badly facing tougher in late Dec. at Aqueduct in what was his first ever in New York. He's been on the sidelines since, but is working well and drops to a price he's been competitive at in the past. A threat if ready.
