Top pick: #5 (NOTMYFIRSTTIME) - Son of "Scat Daddy" showed fine early speed before weakening facing "open" special weights when debuting at the Fair Grounds Dec. 17. He was a bit "keyed up" before the start and trainer Steve Asmussen has had him on the sidelines since. Training well for his return and he faces a much easier group of fellow New York-breds this afternoon.
2nd pick: #8 (Readthebyline) - Gelding cuts back to a sprint after finishing a pace-chasing fourth here at this level going a mile April 28th. Prior to that he'd run second in three of his last four outings (all sprints). Draws outside of the other speed types and is a win candidate today.
3rd pick: #6 (The Snickers Kid) - Stalker is (5-0-1-4) overall and finished third last out at this level and trip at Aqueduct April 21st in a swiftly run contest(1:10.40). Gets a rider upgrade to Edgar Prado and this colt should be involved from gate to wire.
