Top pick: #5 (RIGBY) (9-5) - The probable favorite, he's won 11 of 26 overall, and more importantly, he's 3-for-5 on this surface. Claimed on Feb. 22 by Rudy Rodriguez for $16K, he's had this speed/stalker on the sidelines since. Working fine for his return, he's beaten tougher many times in the past, and Rodriguez wins at a 24% clip first off the claim.
2nd pick: #6 (Roman Invasion) (5-2) - One of two entered here by trainer Dave Jacobson and the pair race uncoupled. He's been freshened up since a big win on Aqueduct on March 3rd in his first off a claim and has a bullet 3-furlong drill on May 2nd. Dangerous with his best.
3rd pick: #1 (Take Down Two) (5-1) - Veteran is another with a fine local slate (7-2-2-1) and comes into this off a pair of third-place finishes since returning from a seven week break on April 10th. Has the rail and is s threat from close range.
4th pick: #3 (Poppa's Pick) (12-1) - He comes off a win on April 13th at Aqueduct when facing weaker and does have some back class. One-run type would benefit greatly if the pace was fast/and or contested.
