Top pick: #6 (MASTER YANK) (8-5) - Lightly-raced gelding ships from Gulfstream where he missed by a neck going a mile at this tag March 28th. It was his first since debuting in late April of 2013 and trainer George Weaver will shorten him up in distance and adds John Velazquez.
2nd pick: #3 (In Speight Ofitall) (5-1) - He had some promise earlier in his career, but he hasn't been the same runner since returning from a 9 1/2 month layoff in late October. He's finished non-threatening thirds in his last pair, but is a threat with his best.
3rd pick: #4 (Pillar of Strength) (4-1) - Comes off a career best when he missed by a "nose" when facing a bit weaker at Aqueduct April 18th. Stalker goes from a $25K claimer for fellow New York-breds to an open $30K contest, but the figure earned last out fits with these.
4th pick: #2 (Tony D) (5-1) - Gelding cost $400,000 back in 2011 and has earned $31K, shows what a tough game it is to play. He chased and finished second at this tag and trip at Aqu. April 24th, and can factor if that effort is repeatable.
