Premium Pick

Top pick: #6 (STATION CHIEF) (8-5) - One of two entered by trainer Gary Contessa and the pair race uncoupled. This speedy colt tired badly when racing on the grass at this level and distance on May 15th. He clearly did not like the turf and he's worked three times since. Contessa scratched him the other day to await this spot and son of "Disco Rico" is the horse to beat.

2nd pick: #4 (Sidearm) (5-2) - The second of the Contessa duo, he finished second here at this condition and trip on June 5th. It was his first since late March and strong finisher is brought back in eight days with Castellano staying aboard.

3rd pick: #5 (Midnight Missile) (8-1) - He's one of two multiple winners and last out he impressed when defeating open starter-allowance foes going 7-furlongs on May 14th. The faster the pace, the better his prospects.

4th pick: #2 (Thnxtomyuncle) (5-1) - Gelding raced evenly after breaking from a tough outside post sprinting on the turf May 15.It was his first since Sept. 12th, and along with the poor post he was "bumped" soundly when the gate opened. Home-bred likes this deep surface (5-1-3-0) and he'll be closing fast.
