Top pick: #2 (POLITICAL JUSTICE) - Consistent speedster was claimed in late March at Aqueduct by Dave Jacobson for $50K and was sent in for a two month freshening. Dropped way down in his return here May 26th, he broke running, set a fast pace, and reported home by 2 lengths in 1:09.60 for the 6 furlongs. Barn is having a great meet and one of the things Jacobson excels at is the quick turnaround.
2nd pick: #5 (Kid Wando) - One of two entered by trainer Gary Gullo and the pair race uncoupled. Claimed on May 16th for $20K, he brought him back in 15 days and colt responded with a "gutsy" win after he looked beaten in mid-stretch. Stalker has a shot right back.
3rd pick: #6 (Christopher's Joy) - Son of "Elusive Quality" won his first pair, but has regressed since then. When last in action, he tired after being involved in a pace-duel at Philly Park May 6th in an allowance-optional claimer. He has a pair of solid recent works and draws outside of the speed.
