Top pick: #2 (DREAMILY) - Filly obviously has some issues with only two starts on her resume that are separated by almost 15 months. $600K daughter of "Giant's Causeway" finished a strong pace-setting second at Gulfstream Park April 24th at this level and distance and is training nicely since shipping north. The horse to beat.
2nd pick: #3 (Sex Appeal) - Home-bred by "Dynaformer" has run well in all three starts and last out ran third here at this trip May 26th in a race won by the talented "Divalarious". Beautifully bred filly is a win candidate this afternoon.
3rd pick: #7 (Allumeuse) - Grey daughter of "Rockport Harbor" was bred in Florida and sold in August of 2009 for $130,000. She spent the first part of her racing days in England and finished fourth in a maiden race at the minor Nottingham course in late May. She switches to one of the best turf barns in this country (Chris Clement) and will add lasix today, and he's won with an incredible 12 of 25 when adding the diuretic.
4th pick: #6 (Sandra d'Oro) - Filly by "Medaglia d'Oro" hasn't run for just over a year and will race off a trainer change to Linda Rice (15% with new arrivals). Filly recently shipped north after training at the Ocala Center in Florida and it's of note that Dominguez is aboard. Rice wins at a 22% rate off of long layoffs, and is at 21% when riding Dominguez.
