Top pick: #7 (TIZ FOR TAT) (2-1) - Lightly raced and improving, colt has finished second in three straight, and has done so on this surface in both local appearances. Stalker was scratched yesterday out of a shorter contest, and trainer Ralph Nicks will stretch him out to a mile for the first time. Working well, he draws a "comfy" outside post at this flat (one-turn) mile. The horse to beat.

2nd pick: #5 (King of Broadway) (7-2) - Colt finished second at Saratoga, going 1 1/8th miles on the dirt July 26 in his first back from an 80 day freshening, then tired while racing very wide there at the same distance on the grass on Aug. 23rd. Lunsford home-bred by "Sky Mesa" has worked fine since, and can factor with his best.

3rd pick: #4 (Howie's Tiz) (8-1) - Price play has some ability and enters off an even effort at Saratoga, going seven furlongs on Aug. 24th. His best ever came here when he ran second, going seven furlongs on May 11, and he can impact at a square price.

4th pick: #2 (Scam) (3-1) - Lightly raced and beautifully bred, he finished an even third last out at Saratoga, and was a length better than "Howie" that afternoon. Blinkers go on and he's in the win mix, but a short price.
