Top pick: #5 (REBRANDED) (5-2) - Son of "Tiznow" cost $350K this past March in Florida, and made his debut for trainer Todd Pletcher on Aug. 17th at Saratoga. Colt broke sharply and chased a fast pace before weakening to finish third to next out "Hopeful" stakes (G1) winner "Strong Mandate." One of two entered in here from Pletcher, and he's bred to love this mile trip.
2nd pick: #3 (Mosler) (3-1) - Son of "War Front" sold a year ago for $1,050,000, and finished an even third at Saratoga when debuting on Aug. 10th. He's working fast since, and trainer Bill Mott adds blinkers and stretches him out to a mile.
3rd pick: #2 (Long Water) (5-1) - He exits the same Aug. 17th contest as "Rebranded" and raced evenly after a bit of an awkward start. Darley home-bred is in a barn (Kiaran McLaughlin) that almost always points towards start #2, and this son of "Elusive Quality" can factor at a square price.
4th pick: #6 (Tony B) (8-1) - Longahot raced very wide before tiring in the same Aug. 17th as both "Rebranded" & "Long Water." He's worked fast recently, presumably with the blinkers that trainer Nick Zito puts on him this afternoon.
