Top pick: #7 (STROLLDOWNBROADWAY) - He's faced tougher fields than this at this level and this stalker has been competitive in four straight since coming back from a 10 month layoff on Aug. 1. Dominguez is back aboard after a one race absence and this gelding is the horse to beat.
2nd pick: #9 (Carson Bandit) - He's finished second in all three turf starts, including his last pair on this surface. Speed/staler draws a nice post for his style and this home-bred should be involved from start to finish.
3rd pick: #5 (Russial Ally) - He's one of two entered by the Linda Rice barn and they'll race uncoupled. Gelding was competitive last out in an "off the turf" contest in his first race in 70 days and should be sharper this afternoon.
4th pick: #2 (Faulkner) - The second of the Rice pair has fines early speed and tired after setting a pressured pace last out in the same switched contest as "Ally".
5th pick: #1 (Chapel Chief) - Has the inside post and he finished fourth in a pair of starts on the Saratoga lawn at this level. Training well and a threat from gate to wire.
