Top pick: #3 (WARRIOR'S CROWN) (9-5) - He's one of two well-bred colts entered by "Hall of Famer" Bill Mott and the pair race uncoupled. Son of "Majestic Warrior" was beaten a neck here when debuting at this level going 7-furlongs on Sept. 27 and has woked fast since.
2nd pick: #6 (King of Broadway) (4-1) - The second of the Mott pair, he comes off a career best whhen he finished third here on Sept. 14 racing at this mile distance. Home-bred by "Sky Mesa" has worked very fast for this attempt and is a win candidate.
3rd pick: #2 (Engine) (2-1) - Son of "Mineshaft" cost $250K as a yearling back in 2011 and was only a "head" back of "Warrior's Crown" when debuting on Sept. 27. Colt broke awkwardly that day and should appreciate the extra furlong he travels in this spot.
4th pick: #4 (Sampson County) (8-1) - He's finished second in two straight racing on dirt and was sold privately after running second here on Oct. 4. In a good small barn (Mike Dilger) and this colt tries hard every time out.
