Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #6 (MERGER ARBITRAGE) (2-1) - Filly has been on the sidelines since a trouble fifth place finish Dec. 30 at Gulfstream Park. Well backed in all three attempts, she's working steadily for trainer Chad Brown (24% off of long layoffs) and he has Javier Castellano on board.
2nd pick: #5 (Naples Parade) (5-2) - Daughter of 'Street Cry' raced both wide and evenly here at this level going 10 furlongs Sept. 29. It was her first since missing by a 'neck' in her debut Feb. 19 at Gulfstream Park and she most likely needed the start. She's worked fast since and is a strong win candidate.
3rd pick: #7 (Magic Joan) (9-2) - One of two making their debuts, $260,000 filly by grass champ 'English Channel' breezed a near bullet half-mile here from the gate Sept. 30 and is from a very underrated barn (Brad Cox). A threat if ready.
4th pick: #3 (Aoife) (6-1) - The field's most experienced maiden, she's stretching back out following an even effort here going seven furlongs Sept. 15. Capable of getting a share, she would need a career best to win this.
