Top pick: #5 (WAGON TRAIN) - Lightly-raced colt raced very wide and made up some late ground when finishing 5th of 10, beaten three lengths here at this level and distance Sept. 16. Claimed that afternoon by Rick Dutrow (28% first off the buy), he's worked him three times since and has Dominguez aboard.
nd pick: #14 (Barrymore) - Son of "Lemon Drop Kid" has been competitive in all four starts and will be taking a big drop in price. Colt is on the also-eligible list and needs a pair of scratches in the main body to compete. Win candidate if he does.
rd pick: #13 (Vector) - Another on the also-eligible list, he needs only one scratch to get in. He raced wide and evenly last out at this tag going 7 furlongs in his first race in four months. He's brought back quickly for this, stretches out in distance, and has blinkers added.
th pick: #3 (Lure of the South) - One of two entered by trainer Pat Kelly and the pair race uncoupled. Long time maiden tends to race evenly, but is capable of impacting today at an expected square price.
th pick: #10 (Hidden Vow) - New York-bred has finished second in two of his six grass starts and did so last out at this level and distance. Gelding has more speed than most and should be close up through-out.
