Top pick: #5 (UNPRECEDENTED) - Freshened since a good try at Saratoga on Aug. 9, this $400K son of "Saint Liam" is working very fast for his return and his trainer (Rick Dutrow) is very good off this type layoff. Much the horse to beat.
2nd pick: #1 (Gathering Cloud) - Improving colt finished second here at this level and distance a month ago in his first back off a five month absence. Has a pair of sharp works heading into this and should be in this from start to finish. Contender.
3rd pick: #11 (Bellhouse) - Working well for his first race off a seven week break, gelding finished a sharp third at this level last out in his first race ever on the turf. In a good barn and appears to have a flexible style. He's one of two entered by trainer Tom Albertrani and they'll race uncoupled. Contender.
4th pick: #9 (Chairman Now) - Has many good efforts at this level and speed/stalker has a bullet work on Oct. 14, heading into this. He's been beaten before by others entered, but his best effort makes him a win threat.
