It was her first since Aug. 20 at Saratoga when she was claimed by Dave Jacobson. I like the fact that he brings her back in a week for this attempt.
2nd pick: #8 (Magician's Vanity) (2-1) - The likely favorite, she missed by a 'neck' Aug. 20 at Saratoga a contest where she was 1.5 lengths in front of 'Winner's Dream' at the finish. Veteran doesn't win very often, 2-for-39 overall, but mare has 17 minor awards in those starts. Stretch threat.
3rd pick: #7 (Tiz a Kitten) (5-2) - She enters off a 'neck' loss here at this tag going seven furlongs Sept. 15. It earned her a career best figure and both of her wins have come at this distance. Must be left in the mix.
4th pick: #4 (About That Base) (5-1) - A 'poster child' for troubled trips, 3-year-old has had traffic issues in four straight starts facing fellow New York breds at the first level allowance condition. She's dropping in class and you have the combination of Todd Pletcher/Javier Castellano in her corner. Can factor with a 'clean' trip.
