Top pick: #5 (DISCREET FORCE) (5-2) - Lightly-raced filly has won three of six starts and is two for four locally. She skipped the summer, and stalker is racing for the first time since a win here on July 3rd. Trainer Gary Gullo is having a very strong meet and this 4-year-old can take this if ready.
2nd pick: #1 (Go Olivia Go) (5-2) - Veteran has had a busy year at 15-3-3-2, and is racing first off a Dave Jacobson claim. Stalker has the rail, back class, and has won two of three previous local starts. Jacobson is the leading trainer at this meet and he scores at a 26% clip first off the claim. A strong win candidate.
3rd pick: #3 (Wild Kay) (4-1) - Speedy veteran finished a pace-setting second here at this level on Sept. 7. Re-claimed that day by trainer Patty Farro, and she's had a lot of success with this mare in the past. Dangerous on the front end.
4th pick: #2 (Precious Franca) (3-1) - Filly was claimed by Mitch Friedman at Saratoga on Aug. 8 and he's had her on the sidelines since. Strong finisher likes it here 5-1-2-2, but the layoff and the drop off the claim raise some red flags.
