Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #4 (WAKE ISLAND) (2-1) - Competitive in all five starts she's racing third back from an eight month layoff. Home bred daughter of 'War Front' finished second at this level and distance July 29 at Saratoga, then checked in a close up third here Sept. under similar conditions. Stalker gets a slight edge.
2nd pick: #2 (Length) (3-1) - Lightly-raced filly is another daughter of 'Ward Front'. Last out here Sept. 9, she set a slow pace and held gamely under pressure to finish second, a 'nose' in front of 'Wake Island.' She worked fast Sept. 30 and is a win candidate.
3rd pick: #6 (Equality For All) (10-1) - Expensive ($775,000) filly by 'Quality Road' appears to be nearing a competitive effort. She raced evenly in her first pair during the summer, then tired at Saratoga Aug. 20 going longer. In the barn of Linda Rice, she has Jose Ortiz aboard this 3-year-old for the first time.
4th pick: #7 (Fashion Week) (5-1) - Another who appears to be getting the 'hang of things', filly by 'Speightstown' has rallied to finish fourth in her last pair. She was 2.5-lengths in back of both 'Length' and 'Wake Island' last out and will be making up ground late.
