One run type has worked since, draws a fine outside post, and has finished 2nd in three of five starts on wet surfaces. Nicely spotted, and she gets a slight edge.
2nd pick: #5 (Perfect Fit) (7-2) - Freshened up since early August, filly finished 2nd last out going six furlongs for a $40K claiming price at Saratoga. Speedy 3yo gets the addition of blinkers (a 21% winning angle by trainer Bret Calhoun). Dangerous in here, and a strong win candidate.
3rd pick: #7 (Grandpa's Princess) (5-1) - She was a winner at this distance on a muddy track at Saratoga Aug. 21st. Claimed that day by Dave Jacobson, he's worked her a half-dozen times here since Sept. 9th, and he moves her up a bit in class. Trainer wins at a solid 25% off the claim, and filly must be left in the mix.
