Top pick: #3 (TALENT N PASSION) (4-1) - Speedy filly has more wins (5) than any other entered and comes off a sharp gate-to-wire score here at this trip racing for a $35K tag on Sept. 19. Claimed that day by John Toscano Jr., he has her nicely spotted in this allowance/optional claimer.
2nd pick: #2 (Little Rocket) (2-1) - One of two entered by trainer Mike Hushion and the pair race uncoupled. Lightly-raced home-bred by "Yes It's True" has won three of her six starts and enters off a win at saratoga on Aug. 29 going 7 furlongs. Working nicely since, filly just missed here July 3rd in her only previous local appearance.
3rd pick: #6 (Thicker Than Water) (6-1) - The second of the Hushion pair, she's very lightly raced and runs off a 10 1/2 month layoff and off a private trainer change. Daughter of "Speightstown" is working steadily and she broke her maiden on this surface.
4th pick: #4 (Cape Cod Carol) (5-1) - She gives her best each time out and has a nice local record of 4-1-1-1. One of two New York-breds entered, she has a speed/stalking style, fits at the level and distance, and should be involved turning for home.
