Top pick: #5 (CAT''S CLAW) (3-1) - Long-winded type ships in from Keeneland where she rallied from far back to finish 5th of 12, beaten 2 1/2 lengths racing on the "poly" on April 19th. It was her first since Nov. 13 when she ran second at Aqueduct on the grass. Daughter of "Dynaformer" had a sharp work before shipping and this 10-furlong trip is perfect for her style.
nd pick: #8 (Sward) (9-2) - Filly by "Indian Charlie" also ships from Keeneland where she rallied to finish fourth when following a poor break from an outside post. She's worked three times here since arriving from Kentucky and is making back-to-back starts for the first time.
rd pick: #3 (Acquant) (5-1) - Home-bred by "Giant's Causeway" has more early speed than most entered and has gone 5-0-1-3 on the grass. Daughter of "Giant's Causeway" must be left in the win mix.
th pick: #9 (High Heel Kitten) (7-2) - Another who appears to be able to run all day, she just missed at Tampa Bay Downs going 8.5-furlongs on April 4th. It was her first since Dec. 7 and Ramsey home-bred by "Kitten's Joy" has been bet in all four appearances.
th pick: #6 (Queen's Parade) (6-1) - She's made up good ground in both starts and last out was beaten just 1 1/2 lengths racing at Gulfstream at this level March 9th. Freshened up since, I believe a small slice is possible, but she needs to improve for anything more than that.
