Three-year-old has finished third in four straight starts and did so here on a sloppy track May 6. It was her first off an eight week break following a Rice claim. She was bumped heavily at the start in her latest and I like that Rice is bringing her back quickly.
2nd pick: #2 (Indygo Tigress) (3-1) - Lightly-raced filly has early speed and is dropping back down in class, switching from turf to dirt, and shortening up in distance. Trainer Gary Contessa has John Velazquez back on the re-ride and they rarely team up together.
3rd pick: #5 (Warrior's Diva) (5-1) - The second of the Rice trained fillies, she's dropping down in class for her first race in two-months. Rare Texas bred racing in New York, 3-year-old has been competitive in two of three starts facing tougher in dirt sprints.
4th pick: #1 (Egyptian Rose) (7-2) - Stalker has the rail and is dropping back down and moving back to the dirt after tiring going longer on the grass at Aqueduct April 24. Can grab a share turning for home following a ground saving trip.
