Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #5 (BRIDEY'S KITTEN) (3-1) - Lightly-raced gelding has been freshened up since March 30 when he missed by a length facing a bit weaker at Aqueduct. It was his first since Dec. 17, a career best, and it came with blinkers on. Three-year-old by 'Tale of the Cat' gets a slight edge.
2nd pick: #2 (Change of Venue) (2-1) - One of two making their debuts, 4-year-old home bred is in the barn of Chad Frown (20% first out). Originally prepared off site, he's been training at Belmont since late Feb. Colt breezed a bullet half-mile from the gate April 20 and Jose Ortiz is aboard.
3rd pick: #4 (Go Lassie Go) (5-1) - The second of the first-time-starters, he had 7 published drills at the Palm Meadows Center in Florida before shipping north. Colt is from a capable barn (Michelle Nevin) but the former assistant to Rick Dutrow does very poorly with debuting stock. May grab a minor award.
4th pick: #1 (Gio Lucky) (5-1) - He moves from grass to dirt while racing with blinkers on in his second following a Gary Gullo claim. One-run type has been competitive in four straight at Aqueduct and is another who may get a share at a square price.
