Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #7 (INSIDE INFO) (4-1) - A lightly raced state-bred, he broke his maiden here going six furlongs for a $30K tag facing fellow New York state-breds June 3 in his first race in nine months. In with 'open' company today and down in price, I give him a slight edge.
2nd pick: #4 (Implied Volatility) (8-1) - Much like 'Inside Info,' he's a state-bred that broke his maiden last out. That was at this distance March 8 at Aqueduct, and that makes him one of two who had their first win at this 6.5-furlong distance. He's working steadily and is a win candidate.
3rd pick: #10 (Our Stormin Norman) (6-1) - 'Norman' has been competitive in eleven straight starts at this 2l condition dating back to late June of 2019. His stalking style and outside post are a good combination, and he must be left in the mix.
4th pick: #9 (Mine the Coin) (5-1) - He showed nothing when sprinting on the grass facing tougher here June 6. It had the look of a conditioning race, and he's down in class, back on the dirt, and leading rider Irad Ortiz, Jr. replaces Jose Vargas.
