Top pick: #3 (WORK N FLIRT) (3-1) - Lightly-raced filly has the best early speed of those that have started. Last out she weakened here after chasing a very quick pace on May 30th. The race was her first in almost 4 1/2 months and an excellent small barn (Mike Mariena) has her making back-to-back starts for the first time.
2nd pick: #5 (Jonata) (2-1) - Dangerous rival races second back from a 7 1/2 month break and in her return effort rallied to finish third here May 30th. Filly showed some talent last year as a 2-year-old and is a win candidate for trainer Mike Hushion (who's having a strong meet at 26-8-4-5).
3rd pick: #4 (Cool Flame) (5-1) - Debuting daughter of "Dixie Union" cost $260K and has some fine recent works on view. Her trainer, California regular John Shirreffs, has part of his stable on the East Coast for the first time and saddled a winner here recently. As many of you probably know, he was "Zenyatta's" trainer.
4th pick: #1 (Wedding Toast) (5-2) - First timer is a Darley home-bred by "Street Sense" and was originally prepared at Palm Meadows in Florida before heading to Saratoga, where she's been working at the Godolphin Training Center.
